As someone described it: ‘After losing my partner of 41 years, I didn’t know where I fit in anymore. I didn’t know who I was. I felt lost, disconnected, and overwhelmed with grief.

Yet, people can and do find their way through the despair of loosing a loved one. It doesn’t mean that it stops being difficult, it means that despite the pain it’s possible to find comfort in other things. But…..

To find this comfort means that you need to be ready and open to allow life back in. It’s hard to be left alone with the pain, while the world goes on.

At Beyond Now we believe that sharing and expressing the deep-rooted sorrow is the first step towards a place of healing.
